Gghs PdKhan painting of Historical Buildings

HISTORICAL TOMB’S HISTORY
The humble tomb of Dadan Khan who was founder of village (Pind).
Dadan Khan was a chief of Khokar Clan, was apparently a minor chieftain who does not feature in the histories of Jehangir or Shahjahan , whose contemporary he was.
He founded this town about 1625 ,perhaps with the view that it would thrive on the salt trade .

FAMOUS OLD TRADING BUILDING’S HISTORY

This haveli is one of the last few remaining, recalls the riches garnered from the former economic activity.
In recent years pind dadan khan’s richer class has moved away and most of the old mansions have been pulled down.

Famous products from pind dadan khan about 120 years ago were embroided lungies and good quality copper and brass wares . Coupled with trade of oil seeds, grain and ghee.

OLD TEMPLE’S HISTORY
A temple is a structure reserved for religious or spiritual activities, such as prayer and sacrifice, or analogous rites. A temple constituted a sacred precinct as defined by a priest.
Temples are the places where Hindus make worships.
Before independence many Hindus were living here.

These may also be called by other names, including mandir or mandira, ambalam, kavu, koil or kovil, déul, raul, devasthana and devalaya, depending on the region in the Indian subcontinent and its local language.
