Banners on the River Thames

Rivers of the World Workshop

HELLO FROM NORBURY MANOR GIRLS SCHOOL IN LONDON. WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH GGHS PIND DADAN KHAN. HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF OUR ART WORKSHOP FOR THE RIVERS OF THE WORLD PROJECT

River Culture
Norbury Manor students created these portraits based on the culture of The River Thames. Students looked at the Tower of London and how prisoners once entered the Tower by going through Traitor’s Gate on the Thames.
Each of these portraits represents a person or persons who once were imprisoned in the tower and even executed there. The people on this board include Anne Boleyn, Sir Walter Raleigh, Guy Fawkes, Rudolf Hess, William Wallace, the Princes in the Tower and the Kray twins.
